Thankful. Blessed. Thankful. Blessed.

This Thanksgiving has been different than any other for the Worster clan!

Why: We took off to Mesquite/Vegas for the week! Mitch is spending the week in St. George (with his dad) so we were able to drive down together! First road trip!

Loads of yummy food.
Swimming and hot tubbing.
Relaxing days and nights.
Matching jammies.
Little bit of homework.
More food.
Palm trees.

Well that is as far as we have gotten this week. Tomorrow we are heading to Vegas, and then Saturday Mitch and his parents are taking me to see BEATLES LOVE in Vegas!!! :) I am so blessed.

A FEW THINGS I AM THANKFUL FOR THIS YEAR..

So I had a pretty dramatic experience a few days ago, and I have realized how precious life is. I have been driving for 4 years, and I have never been in a wreck... until this past Monday. I was at school in Logan until 4, then packed up my stuff and then was heading to Orem. I have always been a freak about taking pictures of my life, but I took A TON of pictures of this car ride? Weird. I was beyond excited to spend time in Orem with Mitch so I was giddy to get there. Before leaving Logan I had to fill up my gas tank, and grab a few goodies. I don't know if you are like me, but I LOVE when I stop the gas flow on the exact dollar. So that happened, totally added to my happiness...weird I know haha. Then, I had this absurd craving for RAISENETS of all things? Bought some of those...and popped in a CD from high school titled, "Stacey and Missys Songs!" Then I hit the road! I had talked to my mom a little bit on the phone, and I specifically remember telling her how bad I had to go to the bathroom (chugged a water bottle), but told her I was going to try and make it to Orem. Traffic on the freeway was stop & go. All I remember was looking ahead and seeing red lights so I slammed on my brakes pretty hard then looked in my rear view mirror and saw the car behind me stop. Well, I looked again and the truck behind her hit her, so she hit me. We were in the fast lane, the carpool lane had a consistent flow of traffic, and that lane was on my left. Then the lane to the right of me was going at least 40 mph. The initial hit wasn't the scary part, it was the fact that cars were going past me so fast. I was almost positive we were going to get hit and thrown into traffic. I immediately called my mom, and then the driver of the truck came up to my window and told me to pull off the road he would stop traffic. I was so shook up that I couldn't really explain to my mom what had happened, she thought I was hurt! I just couldn't get the words out. My mom and sister left the house in Layton IMMEDIATELY to come get me. The guy kept coming to my window while reassuring my it was his fault. Honestly, I didn't really care haha I just wanted my mom or SOMEONE there! The cop got there about five minutes before my mom did. (took forever) MEANWHILE I AM GOING TO PEE MY PANTS. (didn't stop on the way, when I should've)...Stevee had called Mitch and told him what she knew, "Stacey got in a wreck on the freeway we are going there right now." Poor guy was freaking out haha. That just sounds awful! I am so lucky it wasn't anything worse. I have always been scared of freeway wrecks, because there are cars going fast all around!! Reality check for SURE!! Mitch met us at Scheel's, I am so lucky. NEVER HAVE I FELT LIKE SOMEONE CARES SO MUCH. (besides my amazing family of course.) So long story short, I am so thankful that wreck wasn't worse. I am so thankful for my family and friends that show so much love to me.

Yes, I am aware it is so freaking weird that I took pictures of all those things. haha.

Hope you all have had an amazing Thanksgiving break so far!
Love you all.
xo.

New experiences

We went to a ski movie that one of my dad's accounts sponsored. Lets just say...it was quite the experience.
Is it weird that sometimes I really do feel like she is the big sister? haha. Love my babe.
I AM A UTE! I know I already mentioned that in the last post but I went to orientation and signed up for my classes. Better believe I forced my mom to come along with me, she was the only parent there. I love her.

My classes:
  • Principle of Visual Communication
  • Digital Journalism
  • Voices of Utah
  • Video Production

This is funny. (picture below) I went down to Orem the next day after orientation and had posted one of these pictures to my instagram. Mitch said, "Stac you posted one yesterday of you at The University of Utah"hahahaha. Honestly, I guess I support all Utah schools now. I have attended 3 out of biggest 4. This is my last transfer! hahaha.
We might be the cheesiest couple out there. Best part about it:
Neither of us are the type to be super cheesy and open. So I think half of it is us being nerds, but the other half. We don't know what is happening hahaha! He wore a USU shirt, I wore his BYU shirt. hahahahahahaha. He is a good sport.
Picture below:
Sometimes he gets sick of me always hugging him ;) Gotta love those candid pictures.
First time meeting his dad and step mom, and first time going to TRANS SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA!! IT WAS SO DANG COOL!!! I had no idea what to expect, but the expectations I DID have, were exceeded! :)

Iz All Gud

Took the birthday boy out....what does he do? Give me flowers. It was supposed to be HIS DAY. He is pretty much the best!
orange flowers = best surprise ever!
Real quick, for everyone: I promise I DO KNOW HOW TO SPELL. I am aware "Stac" sounds/looks like "STACK"
I have always just preferred to spell it "Stac" vs. "Stace"...why? Because my weird mind doesn't understand why I should even shorten my name if I am only willing to cut off one letter! Weird I know. You can call me Stac! :) hahaha.

The goon came down from OREM to help me study last minute for my bio test. Knowing I am worth a two hour round-trip on a Sunday night, means a lot. I am lucky!
I PASSED THE TEST :)

It was his turn to take me to his realm. BYU LAW SCHOOL baby! I won't lie, that has a nice ring to it. hahaha.

K, it was my first time "mudding..." I have never been an up-tight person but holy CRAP this scared me and gave me an awful amount of anxiety. Not being in control of the car freaks me out! hahahaha. He is convinced he is "pro" because his childhood-farm-boy-skills come out doing those kinds of things. I don't really know if I will do that again, butttttt I will forever remember my first time mudding! :)

We went and saw Saratov Approach. Not gonna lie, I was anticipating a poorly made church movie (no offense), this was done well! I thoroughly enjoyed it! :) 4.5 stars. haha.

Maybe you remember a few months ago when I was trying to get into The U? Well I wasn't successful. I will have ALL GENERALS COMPLETED in four weeks (associates degree) and I decided to apply one more time a few weeks ago.
I WAS ACCEPTED!
I will be attending in the Spring (Jan. 2014)
Everything is falling into place perfectly.

First win of the season! I was in the studio. (5 interns, each of us are assigned different duties each game). The studio job in a nut shell:
-Monitor all NBA games and watch for players that are going to hit 30 points. (if they do I record it because David Locke does 30 point bells).
-Cut audio for pre game starting line ups, incoming callers, and put them with the music so it can be played over the air.
-Post game, cut highlights..and log them into the computer system. What people don't know, when I am in the studio I am not even watching the Jazz play! I am monitoring every other team.
-Jazz Game Rewind is made around 11 pm every game night, and when I am in the studio I am the voice! Speaking of that... here is the latest rewind :)

We play the spurs tomorrow night! I will be doing stats. What that means:
-Sit behind David Locke, taking stats and handing him notes on what I am seeing.
-If you are there....I'll be on the fourth floor, portal G! Come say hi :)

Honestly, life couldn't be better!

FRIENDS AND FAMILY! I LOVE YOU ALL :)

side-note: seeing a lot of old faces at Tasha & Josh's wedding this past week was great, the funniest part...
"Stac, I love your blog!" - said everyone and their dog. Thanks for keeping up with my life :) haha.

This blog post is a recap of the past week and a half, brace yourself there is some good stuff in here!

1.)
Mitch came up to Logan for a day.. or 3.

As mentioned in my last post, he had ACL surgery last week. Yeah, he came up 4 days after. He is crazy! What was supposed to be one night, turned into 3 days. He came to school with me, helped me with homework, took me to eat, went to a basketball game, met his friends, chilled with my great roommates and go to know each other on a whole new level. I highly recommend spending 48+ hours with someone you are considering dating hahahaha. He is great.

2.)
Newspaper & Jazz..
So I was walking through the Journalism department last week. As I do every week, but this time I came across something neat! One of my articles I wrote last year is pinned to the bulletin board up there! It made me smile pretty big. (Far right. It can be found under "The Statesman" tab at the top of my blog if you wanted to read it.)

Doing my thing at ESA. Those away games can turn into long nights. Recording the post-game show is always fun though! I work with great people, and I am learning SO MUCH! Forever grateful for this opportunity. Maybe our team will learn to make some shots here and there. We are struggling so bad.

3.)
Wedding!!
Josh and Tasha Hadfield are easily the cutest couple. I am so dang happy for them. I took picture alongside my mom, it was a great day to learn some more about the camera. I will be sure to post some pictures once I upload them to the computer. I walked into the reception and about pooped my pants seeing a lifesize Missy. MY BEST FRIEND! I saw so many people from high school, it was fun to catch up. Best part of the night, Mikey and Mitch showed up. I can't remember the last time I have been so excited to show off a boy!

4.)
Stevee came to school with me..

5.)
The longest night of our lives..
It was Mitchell's birthday on Friday, he thought we were in Logan for the night. Little did he know, we were on the frontrunner to Orem to attack his room! A BYU pillow (painful to make), balloons, candy, pictures and a t-shirt. Remember how he sent me an edible bouquet of flowers last week? Well come to find out...HE WAS IN THE CAR..edible arrangements didn't deliver so he drug one of his friends along to be a "delivery boy." So needless to say, I wanted to give him a taste of his own medicine, be within miles of him without seeing him :) I am evil.
The picture above holds a good meaning, this was RIGHT as the frontrunner was passing through American Fork. Remember how the last time I rode the frontrunner it broke down in American Fork? Yeah...not this time!
Little did he know, I was 200 yards from him as he took that picture! P.s...riding the frontrunner from Layton to Orem is AWFUL!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOYFRIEND.
Yep, we made it official. :)

6.)
MOMMY'S BIRTHDAY!
The picture below was taken exactly a year ago. I wasn't able to take a picture with her this birthday because she spent it in Montana with my dad. I love my mom so dang much! They had a great trip, it is kinda fun when they leave...STEVEE AND I KNOW HOW TO PARTY! hahaha. Happy thirtieth momma! :)

7.)
Sleepover at grandmas..
We had such a good time with grandma and great-grandma! I honestly didn't know Grandma Taylor (great-grandma) was so funny. We laughed, and laughed, and LAUGHED!! Went to Olive Garden then shopping. Blessed to have these women in my life!!
Helped her put her earrings in :) She is the cutest EVER.
BABY MALIA COMING SOON!!

Eventful Week!

Just when I thought my birthday celebrations were over...

I get this treat delivered to me..
Edible arrangement...and a few lovely gift cards.

FUNNY STORY: Chels & I were just sitting on the couch when the doorbell rang, I refused to get up and get it. Chels stood up and answered the door..next thing I hear:

"OH MY GOSH WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?" (it was her ex boyfriend)

I heard him say, "I have a delivery for Stacey"..

So I jumped up and got the gift. After a really, REALLY awkward situation... I enjoyed some chocolate covered fruit, immediately called Mitch (he is the peach that sent it to me) and told him the hilarious story.

Next day: Mitch came up to take me out before his big surgery. He came to get me and told me we had to go to Ogden for dinner. Before we entered the canyon he was like, "Hey Stac lets stop at the place we made smoothies our first date!" I was all-game for it! Before I knew it I was looking at a 24 pack of monsters and a huge box of cheerios. The monsters: because I drink one every day. (bad I know) && the cheerios because that one awesome time the frontrunner broke down, I was stranded at the station with a 12-year-old boy that was chowin' down on some cheerios. I told Mitch  how good they looked and he remembered that hahahahaha! I died.

We went to dinner at Olive Garden in Riverdale, and then he took me SKYDIVING!!!! Am I spoiled or what? Yes I am!

Had a good girls night with my sister on Friday. Living with Abby & Chelsea just reminds me all the time how awesome it would be it Stevee lived with us. Luckily she gets to spend next weekend with me up at USU!!

Ice cream & face masks make everything better.

Okay this next picture...FLAT OUT HILARIOUS. I came home for the weekend and told my mom I would run her errands with her. First errand being going to The Capitol to check out photography places for her photo shoot. As we were there she somehow dropped her phone out of her pocket. Next errand, printing place in Layton...we got in the place and picked up her stuff, got back in the car and she was looking for her phone. No where to be found! So I ran back into the printing store, it wasn't in there. We drove all the way back to SLC, and it wasn't there. All I'm going to say, it is a dang good thing I was with her to brighten her mood or she would've been a mess.

At least she looks cute when she is mad.

So the poor guy went in for surgery on Wednesday....

He was such a trooper he let me come and spend the day with him on Saturday. He is a champ! We had so much fun.

We went to his nephews jr. jazz game, then to Walmart to grab some lunnch...poor Mitch was in some serious pain. :(

Frozen pizza always does the trick.

Oh, Mitch also has the cutest nephews and neice in the world. This little guy was my biggest fan, meet Calvin:

He drew me that awesome picture, and told me goodbye at least 6 times. He may or may not have given me a kiss on the cheek. Cutest little boy in the WORLD!

We took these two to "WIENERS" as they called it for dinner. Then to the park to eat. Fifteen minutes after getting to the park, Calvin had to go "number 2" hahahahahaha. Honestly, little kids are the best.

We asked Brody to take a picture of us...CALVIN had to be in the picture. hahahah!

Needless to say, it was a dang good week.
Love you all!
xoxo.
