Thanks Dad.

STRESSED.
This is how I feel...
This is how I am pushing through...
Found this online and thought of him. He tells me this at least once a week. Love my dad...

I think I have written more articles this week than ever before. Whether it be for The Statesman, Jazz internship, or my classes.
Unfortunately our articles haven't been posted to the website yet. Soooooo I will post the links once it is possible. I wrote an article for both issues this week, and I will have another one in the paper on Tuesday. THERE IS NOT ENOUGH TIME IN THE DAY! I have never had to manage my time like I have this past week. As for my shoe selling job, I am getting way annoyed. Interesting enough, I don't really feel like working on LABOR DAY WEEKEND. K I am now stepping off my soap box.
Meet Max. All white animals are named Max. Okay, just my dog and this cat. This little guy is my roommates cat. I am grateful I have learned to ADORE the cat species these past 4 months or else living with Max this semester could've been REAL BAD. haha!
This little bugger got her license yesterday! Events like these make me sad that I can't be at home to celebrate. Whatever. Congrats Steve, LOVE YOU! :)

First Day of School

Day's like these seriously remind me how awesome my life truly is.

Started my junior year gracefully tripping UP the stairs to my first class. Why? Probably because these high waisted stiff pants(you can kind of get an idea from the picture below) are making it hard for me to skip stairs like I usually do. Instead of turning around to the CROWD of students behind me and make it funny, I just pick my body up and continue forward...which results in breaking a sweat and seeing my reflection in the door. Don't worry, I also saw the many students behind me laughing their heads off silently. Yeah okay that was actually slightly embarrassing. I have made a promise to myself today...NO MATTER WHAT...next time I trip or fall down, I will make a joke out of it to the people around me so they don't feel bad for me and make me feel so freaking awkward inside. It was that elementary feeling when a boy you like says something dumb about your hair or shoes (even though they are flirting it makes you have that weird knotty feeling in your tummy.)

Made it through my first two classes just fine! As I made my way into my Beginning Newswriting Class I sat down next to Mandi (girl in my summer school class, were pretty much best friends when it comes to the journalism classes). Anywho, Professor Laplante looks at me, looks away, then suddenly stares back at me and says...

"You are very hyperteloric"
-Okay, I don't know if thats the right word...maybe hyperchaloric? Ugh, I CAN'T REMEMBER.

I responded, "Okay..."

He says, "Do you know what that means?"...

"No I don't"...

"Well lets just say that its not a bad thing."

I quickly wrote down the word on my notes so I could look the word up after class...

Wikipedia definition of hypertelorism: excessive gap between ones organs, most commonly the eyes.

So I am thinking I might have caught the wrong word? I am going to be asking him first thing Wednesday I will keep you guys posted.

I have some pretty DANG exciting news!! Carson found this internship advertisement on Facebook last week and sent it to me. Usually I don't take a second look at them because school and work occupies my time. Maybe cause it was him, I took a look. I totally applied for it, resume and all. HE RESPONDED. I really did not think he would even email be back let alone be impressed by my resume! He had me write an article on the 2013 draft this past weekend so he could see my style. I submitted it and have been anxiously awaiting his response. He liked it, and I officially have an interview in the Energy Solutions Arena at 5pm tomorrow! Please say a prayer for me! I can't wait!

First article of the new semester will run in tomorrows paper. I will post it soon!

Needless to say, today has been one heck of a day. I thought is was all going south when I took that fall at 8am. Oh and I now am slightly self conscience about my eyes ;)

Hope this gave you a laugh. I have been laughing all day.

Love you all :)

Burrr Lake

Our second home!
Oh my gosh the picture above makes me laugh just looking at it. Stevee and I were diving in the lake and washing our hair...I come up from under the water to see someone diving in...MY MOM! First off, she gets in the water maybe, MAYBE once a year. Second off, her dive was dang near perfect. Third, washing our hair together in the lake was an experience that I probably will remember for my whole life. She is so cute!!
So I am pretty proud of myself for accomplishing the huge wake this past weekend. Okay maybe accomplish isn't the right word..but I went in and out of BOTH SIDES. Going out that left side was so much fun, I felt like I was close enough to kiss the water! Got a little carried away with the leaning out there and caught a nasty edge. That was enough for one day!
Toby was judging our dives ;)
Dad spoiled us with good food, fun activities, and hilarious moments this trip. Daddy's girl.
Here is one of those funny moments I mentioned above. Took about an hour to get our food out due to the poppin place after a hot day on the lake. The waitresses would YELL...no, SCREAM out the ticket name. He decided to go with Randolpho this time. Better than Elvis. (Yes that has been done.)
Dad rented this train of a bike one of the days. We laughed, and laughed, and laughed...AND LAUGHED! Oh, we also sweat a lot as well. Those look like a fun time, it definitely is but gosh it is hard!
Mom took me school shopping today :) I can not wait to wear my fall clothes!
Last but not least, this would be how we feel about starting school on Monday. On the bright side, my lovely roommates will be moving in on Saturday! I am home in Layton until Sunday night. Back on my writing grind, I finished my first article for the semester this morning! I'll be sure to share the link sometime next week! Love you all :)

LIttle bit of E V E R Y T H I N G...

This post is not going to flow in any sort of order. I was looking through the pictures on my phone and realized I haven't posted a lot of them! So here they are!!!
My mom surprised us at Bear Lake a few weeks ago that she has a MEAN breakfast burrito recipe! She tells people she isn't much of a cook, but I think she has mistaken herself...I mean some of her stuff is...interesting (cream of mushroom sauce on rice was one of my childhood favorites...but where the heck did that come from? haha) REALLY THOUGH...she is pretty dang good in the kitchen :)
First experience at Lava Hot Springs was a total SUCCESS! Thanks to a co-worker for the invite and thanks to one of my best friends for sharing a tube, some nasty falls, and some hilarious memories with me!! Such a good day.
Slept over and grandma and grandpas a few weeks ago and they spoiled me. I don't think I will ever be able to explain HOW BLESSED I am to have the family I have. I was lonely up in Logan so I called them and they were so happy to have me. Took me out to eat at The Greenery, talked to me about my life, and then grandma and I got some bridal shower invitations all addressed up and ready to go into the mail. I love them more than life itself. More of parents then grandparents. I am beyond lucky.

Grandma is so funny. I am waiting for her to finish breakfast and I look up and she is taking a picture of me, "No honey keep reading, I am just so happy one of my grandkids likes to read the newspaper!!" hahahaha. Made me laugh. Yes, I enjoy reading the paper!

YEAH....IT WAS HEAVEN! I sent this picture to my mom (she was vacationing in Mesquite with my dad at the time) and she responded, "Holy crap kiddo! You are spoiled!" hahaha. My grandma is the best cook ever. No matter what she makes...it tastes better at her house.
As I mentioned before, my mom was in Mesquite with my dad....Stevee was in NEW YORK CITY...they thought it was fun to text me pictures of where they were ALL DAY LONG...while I was at work. Jerks. hahaha!
I LOVE MY KELLI FOX!!! We finally decided to drive a few miles and meet up..since it has been like..6 freaking months! I still can't believe that I met her at UVU in one of my classes and we have stayed close ever since. She has helped me through some of the hardest times I have been through and I will forever be thanking my Heavenly Father for putting her in my life. Love you boo!
This was SO FUNNY! Stevee, my mom, and I were at Bear Lake this past weekend. We were driving out of the marina to go grab some dinner when we look up before exiting and see these MEN ON MOTORCYCLES WAVING AT US..come to find out it was Grandpa and Uncle Rick! Seeing how happy our grandpa was introducing us to his "crew" was priceless, watching him cruise off on his Harley was even more priceless. ONCE AGAIN!! WE ARE SO BLESSED!!

"HOW TO TAKE A CHEESY PICTURE"...1. look at each other and do stupid/fake grins.. 2. tell the photographer to wait until you actually start laughing at the other persons ridiculous face.. 3. TA DA! The picture might be cheesy, but I think it is cute! Love my sis!

We love Bear Lake. :)

This lovely shot is for my missionary MISSY! Just look at the next picture. It won't really make sense. But it will make her laugh when she reads this post :) Love you Sister Hadfield!

Those dang cops :( Don't speed in Wellsville Utah friends. DON'T DO IT.
Hiking Adams Canyon with my main squeeze!

Sister Hadfield... (2nd shoutout in this post..) this is a DEAD ON perfect example of the SQUINT!! hahahaha.

Okay the water was kind of cold...

YEAH...way cold.

She is the cutest.

Exciting Stuff:
  • I am all moved into my new place and my roommates will be moved in shortly :)
  • I am going to be working on a RESEARCH project with one of my professors this next semester, it is going to be such a great experience.
  • I only have work once this week then I am off for Bear Lake for the remainder!! YES!! :)

Model for a day!

What a fun day this was! My good friend Micah Folsom is a photographer and she was running a workshop along with one of her friends in Park City for photographers interested in extra training! Micah knew that my mom snaps shots of Stevee & I all the time so she thought she was playing it safe asking me if we were available! It was so different smiling for other photographers and they kept saying, "You two are so good at this..." little did they know it is because our awesome mom has RAISED us behind the camera whether we wanted to be smiling or not hahaha! Needless to say, we enjoyed ourselves quite a bit this night.

We ended the night in SLC at City Creek eating at The Cheesecake Factory! We might fight here and there but there is nobody who knows me better than my little sister. I am so blessed to have her! She is the ultimate best friend. Its so much fun because each and every time I am around her I feel like she is growing up and becoming more and more of her own person....so I seriously feel like I am hanging out with someone my own age! Kind of like the dating rule, "once you graduate high school age is just a number"...it is kind of similar with Stevee haha!
