Couldn't ask for more!

I have a lot of photo's coming your way! Been home twice this week, wasn't planning on coming down this weekend but my roommates went to see their families so there was NO WAY I was staying up there alone if I didn't have too. Ha-ha! My lovely teenage sister and I got into a little argument last week and we finally came to the conclusion that we were both just being stubborn brats. THANK HEAVENS WE ARE GETTING ALONG. She's the best. Wow, Friday at work I was alone in the shoe department and had to put away SO MANY boxes of shoes...upstairs. I had four hours to get to work on this project and I was beyond overwhelmed. Luckily Andy came over from the athletic department and helped me out! He is awesome, we got done with ten minutes to spare! Crazy how you never know the details of a person's job until you are going through the same thing ha-ha! I mean, I never knew the rollerblade car-hops at Sonic cleaned bathrooms, and made all the paper bags(stuff them with mints & napkins) that the publics food comes in! There is so much to every job, so for all you employed friends and family...PROPS TO YOU, KEEP IT UP! The animals are still as cute as ever, it kills me how much love I have for animals! AHHHH! Hung out with Missy Saturday, always a good time with my girl! Her little sister Abby, Stevee, Missy and I had a sisters girls night on Saturday. I did Missy's acrylic nails for the second time. SO MUCH IMPROVEMENT :) haha. Really though, they looked real good!! Took a nice fall this weekend down the driveway, I could barely walk on my ankle Saturday night ha-ha-ha! I don't miss those sprained ankles in sports! My cousin had a bridal shower last night, SHE GETS MARRIED ON FRIDAY! It was a good time with the family, always is. Stopped by and said hi to the Greiner family, good time for sure. Here's to a new week, new memories, new adventures, and solid hard work! Love you all :)
Me and Leesy made banana bread last week, all it needed was walnuts. WIFEY STATUS!!
Gosh I love my dad. He would do anything for me! Something big is going on for him March 9th! He has been chosen as one of the top 50 athletes of Weber State. TALK ABOUT BIG DEAL!!
She wouldn't let me get ready! She will just crawl up your pant leg haha! I would put her down and she would throw a fit. She loves me.
Poor Stitchy, having to share her favorite spot in the house with the new addition.
She slept with me the whole weekend! Baby girl.
Wanna good fall? K come borrow my saver's cowboy boots and walk down my driveway, your bound to biff!
We really are best friends.
Walking into the bathroom in the morning to find this girl.
Went to grandma's to pick up some stuff and Miss definitely biffed on the driveway. You think my driveway is bad? Check out my grandparents. We put trash bags on just in case we went down and slid the rest of the way. One month till Australia gets her, I love my Missy.
Dad got a flat tire on Sunday. Here is him and mom trying to figure it out...the ground is sopping wet, its freezing, and we didn't know what to do...
The world is still beautiful folks! People came and helped and what would've took two hours, took 20 minutes. Events like these make me smile and feel Heavenly Father's hand in my life.
Did the babes hair for the bridal shower. It was a hit. One day when I am a mommy, oh boy..my girls will have the best hair ;)
Fun game! 10 minutes, two rolls of toilet paper, and scotch tape to make a beautiful bride. I was sporting the mini dress! Temple bound...hahahaha! We took 4th place...out of 4 groups! Heck yeah! ;)
My LITTLE cousin, Sam! He is a stud.
Look at this little hunk of love! She is growing up so quick! Love Ricklyn Gibbons so much!
Cousins by chance, best friends by choice. Me and Myk were in diapers together, played house, barbie's, and literally spent everyday of childhood summers glued to eachother hip. She is marrying Spencer on Friday..CAN NOT WAIT FOR HER. She is beautiful.

Lessons learned:
-no one cares about you as much as your family. No need to waste time bothering with unnecessary drama/mind games.
-never let the people you love leave the house without letting them know you love them, stevee and dad almost got in a horrific wreck Saturday night, truly a miracle they are okay.
-living day by day is good and a happy style, but having a gameplan of the week has helped me accomplish the things I have needed to get done.
-animals have feelings, my dad was getting mad at Max and he was so upset, shaking so hard and whining. I love my animals.

This week:
-article runs in the paper tomorrow!
-stats quiz
-myk's wedding!!!!!
-be 100% unproductive with my roommates a few nights. haha!

Love is in the air ;)

I had a crafty itch this Valentine's Day and decided to make my family home-made, cheap, college student valentines :) Might I add, they turned out pretty cute!

Had a great Valentine's day in Ogden Utah this year :) Which meant I got to spend the night at my HOME in L-town. Got home and went to say goodnight to my parents and was surprised to see little Nala in between my dads legs! She was knocked out! We are convinced she can sense that dad is somewhat scared of her, so she likes to torture him with cuddling with ONLY him! I took her into my room and she definitely slept under my chin ALL NIGHT LONG, her purring is unbelievably loud, but it is totally worth it. Never thought I would love a cat. I used to despise them. haha!
Had an interesting experience last week! I was studying for a stats test last week in the library, keep in mind when I was finished with the session it was nearly 11 p.m. Well, walk out and first thing I lay eyes on...a half naked boy dressed as a unicorn?! Well I started talking to him and he talked me into staying for the "Utah State Harlem Shake"...it's this new thing that groups of people are doing. One person starts dancing and all his/her surroundings are oblivious to the dancing..then the beat of the harlem shake drops and everybody is dancing. The way they film it makes it look pretty funny. Long story short, I was tired and didn't understand what the heck was going on...but sure enough I stayed. Found the video on youtube...Ill post it. I am in a white hoody on the right side when everybody starts dancing. I had no clue what was going on. haha!

I caved and bought my first pair of shoes at work. So tempting when I get a discount for working in the SHOE department. I am going to try so hard to only purchase one thing every other paycheck haha! I justified it as a Valentines gift to myself :)
The roomie's were traveling for basketball this past week so I was home alone for half the week and weekend. Lonely but productive haha! I was glad when they came home yesterday :) My life is complete now. haha! Elise taped my ankle, she is convinced she is pro. She did a dang good job, all we had was scotch tape haha! Brought back memories of getting taped before games, crazy! I have been graduated for two years! WOW!

The new favorite snack: guac && wheat thins. mmm!

Article I'm working on this week: When students need health insurance and when they don't. I'll learn quite a bit researching and writing this one! I'll have the link up sometime next week.

LOVE YOU ALL :)

Change all around!

The name of the game this past week has been:
TIME MANAGEMENT & COPING WITH CHANGE!

I have some good proof that having fun while working and going to school is possible.. in fact, I have noticed I seem to enjoy free time more and make the most of it! We went to Ed Sheeran and fell in love with the guy. Stayed the night in Layton to break up the drive...got treated like princess's by Addi's family! Oh and how could I forget...slept on a rock hard floor that damaged our lower backs quite severely. haha! It's all part of the fun. I also have proof of another AWESOME prank they pulled on me, removing my shower head and hiding it. THEY THINK THEY ARE SO FUNNY!
Yes, I use proactive.

As I mentioned in my last post, I GOT THE JOB! Sales associate in the shoe department at Al's Sporting Goods! Well, training has gone quite well. Talking to random people all day long is pretty entertaining. It is unbelievable how much knowledge you can have on just ONE SHOE. Women come in looking for the "cutest" Nike shoe, little do they know if they don't have a high arch, their foot is about to have a fit. I learned how to check inventory last night, and getting to know my co-workers is enjoyable. Fun fact: I can "demo" any shoe in the store when I am at work. With that being said, a salmon/white colored Nike shoe has been tempting me all week. Well, I wore it last night and decided there is no way I was going to buy it. I will never have the same pair of shoes on if you come visit me! (at work) haha!

So I text family members daily, some pretty funny stuff is said and WEIRD stuff as well. My mom is easily the smartest dumb blonde I know. Before you GASP "What!" It is a compliment! She has taught herself everything she knows, determined little fart. I keep in close contact with my grandma, she is hilarious. I finally set up my voicemail system, I count on at least one voicemail from my dad a day. IT IS THE BEST.

This past weekend we went to Texas Roadhouse, they ran out of rolls. HOW IN THE HECK DOES THAT HAPPEN? We were upset. In the picture only I look upset, I promise they were too. haha!

Went home this past weekend for a big deal on Sunday! Jared had his homecoming, he did great! I am in awe of how small of a world it is, I drug my mom and sister to his house after, my mom's second cousin is Jared's moms best friend. One of my best friends cousins was there. It was fun meeting new people! I didn't get back to Logan until Monday morning, it was such a peaceful & BEAUTIFUL drive. Here is my proof:
Takes mad skills to snap a picture like this while driving ;) Entering the infamous Sardine Canyon.

So today, (Tuesday, Feb. 12) my group presented our first team project. I wish I could record myself explaining how the project worked so you would understand. The overall theme is Marijuana Legalization, but it ISN'T about that. Confusing right? I am going to do my best to explain it to you so when you click on the link to our project blog you won't be lost. It is a project mainly focusing on how FOX NEWS frames their story and down right LIE TO THE PUBLIC. The way they frame their stories is unfair to the public, it is what you and I have been lead to believe all growing up. We all think we can trust those news reporters right? Well we have been extremely mislead and for this project we compared Fox News clips to Comedy Central clips from Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart. Although many Americans would flip the channel seconds after listening to these political satirists, they are MORE HONEST THAN YOUR LOCAL NEWS STATIONS. It has been proven. VARIOUS TIMES! I actually taught myself how to clip youtube videos to the only content I wanted to show the class during our presentation. I felt pretty accomplished after finishing that task. So on the blog, the videos are all only about a minute or so long, and they reveal the lack of knowledge these reporters are reporting with. Sadly enough, Fox News doesn't only do a crappy job covering the stories on marijuana legalization, they are 100% opinionated (so is every other american) but shouldn't be allowing their viewpoints in on the news coverage. Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert are crude at times, but the points they hit are true and factual. They fill their show up with humor and Fox fills up their blank space with opinion and bull crap. I am going to post the link to our blog.. explore the different tabs and you will see the comparisons with the reporting skills between comedy central political satirists vs. Fox News corespondents.

After the presentation I was starving, I was in the library and decided to go check out the cafe. K, I had the most delicious sandwich today! Maybe it was because I was beyond hungry.. but I totally took a picture. I know I'm weird. It was a turkey avocado breakfast bagel. Hope this makes you hungry ;)

Hi I'm...HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY!

Somehow I got placed with the weirdest roommates possible. AND I LOVE IT! I never thought I would be having this much fun, they are great! I've mentioned before, they are on the women's basketball team..so I have gone to some of their games with my adopted Logan parents, The Moores! Addi made a SICK three pointer last week, and the game I missed on Saturday I guess Elise pretty much won the game for them! Pretty sweet.
We did face masks one night and taught Xioli how to play catch phrase. She understood it pretty well! We put all three of our mattresses out in the living room and had a slumber party! Wouldn't be complete if we didn't watch pitch perfect!
Last week we went and saw 'Mama'...HOLY CRAP it was scary! Ever since that night, we have started this game...who can scare each other worse. I definitely had Elise beat, until her and Addi turned off the lights when I was in the shower..and locked my bedroom door. That was kinda scary. Its okay, one word: PAYBACK!
Elise thinks she can do my hair...she is pretty funny sometimes...
Since we always are teaching Xioli new things, we decided to ask her for help! LEARNING CHINESE! She is a good teacher, that is what she wants to be I think. FYI: Bi Zui means shut up.
Had a good weekend and saw Ellie Goulding LIVE! There was a pretty scary incident Stevee and I had involving extremely inconsiderate people. I have never wanted to elbow/punch/kick someone in the nose so hard. Reminded me of basketball. We kept ourselves under control and ended up having a great time!
Finally met my pen pal, JARED!!! It has been SO MUCH FUN getting to know him as an actual person rather than through letters. Definitely the most unique relationship/friendship I have ever had. He is great! HE IS HOME!:) :) :) :)
