Another One Bites The Dust

This was 5 years ago! Tiff is now married to her high school sweetheart as of last week! :) The memories with these girls go on forever. The only relationships I have maintained since graduation 2 years ago would be with my old teammates. Athletes are drama free, easy going, and we have so many hilarious memories together. So happy for Tiff & Josh :) Crazy she is married.
Capri is on the far left, she has braces! haha. I am allowed to give her crap only because I had them sophomore year, and then had to get them again senior year in high school. She is my cute little asian. Tiff is the beautiful bride. Myself, and then Brit on the right. Like I mentioned before, these are those friendships that I know I can always rely on, and never be awkward.
Better believe I caught that bouquet. The picture on the left is at my cousins wedding a few months back. Then the picture on the right is last week at Tiff's wedding reception. My long arms, height, and capabilities to box short girls out might have a lot to do with the fact I have caught both bouquets at the past 2 weddings I have gone to. I like to believe it is a SIGN. hahaha. Just kidding. Kind of.
My babe was kind enough to hang out with my mom and I at the reception all night long. My mom was the photographer. OF COURSE :). He is a trooper.

AS FOR THE REST OF THE WEEK:

- finishing up a big assignment and starting another for class
- work on wednesday and then heading up to the lake for the rest of the week!! :)

GOD BLESS AMERICA

Ragnar :)

For the past couple years I have wanted to run Ragnar primarily for the car sticker. Might sound lame, but I KNOW I am not the only one haha! Well I got the sticker! I also inhaled bananas all weekend, slept outside, and ran until my legs wouldn't go anymore. I laughed all weekend long, Carson is hilarious. Everything was 50 times funnier because we were running on 5 hours of sleep, sore bodies, using porta-potties every hour, and being squished in tight and confined spaces forced us to always be RIGHT BY EACH OTHER. We all got to know each other REAL WELL in van #1! haha. My first leg (8 miles) went well, I was glad to have my longest one out of the way from the start. My other two legs were both 3 miles. It was such a good weekend! Painful, sweaty, cold, hot, but 100% worth it type of weekend. One I will probably never forget!
This is the starting line in Logan Utah. Carson was the first runner. GO CARS, GO! I was runner #2 so he got to hand it off to me each time. My nerves were all over the place, waiting for him to finish his first leg seemed like eternity! Once I got running the nerves calmed a bit.

Our team, RAGNARLY. The kid on the far left is Taylor Andersen, Carson played basketball with him and grew up with him. His wife Ricki (in front of him) was the only other girl in the van with me. She is such a sweet girl, we have mutual friends from high school and Utah State. Such a small world we live in!

Immediately after my last leg Cars was feeding me banana's haha. Didn't cramp once!

These are the lovely reflector vests we had to wear from 6pm to sunrise if we were out of our vehicles. This was one of the most interesting nights of my life. He makes me laugh harder than anyone else.

He is a weirdo and I am in pain.

The POST-RAGNAR picture. WE DID IT! :)

This is where Ricki finished her last leg, top of the hill in Park City. So beautiful. I just remember at this point waiting for her to finish I literally was looking at the weeds, rocks, and dirt on the ground and was tempted to lay down and take a nap. Exhaustion at its finest :)

This was seconds after I finished my last leg. I literally was so tired when Cars said "lets get a picture stace"...I threw a smile on for two seconds and then tried to catch my breath haha.

Our team killed a lot of people!
Ragnar kills: passing any runner during your legs. Keeping track helps keep your mind off of the pain your body is enduring. A little competition is always great.

Carson's parents came and picked us up in Park City at the finish line. We went to Cafe Rio and then back to Layton. We were knocked out within fifteen minutes! haha.

So my family is considering running Ragnar 2014! I am excited. Such a good experience spent with awesome people. I don't even care that I cant feel my legs. :)

Nick & Ron..

This post is dedicated to my cousin, partner in crime, childhood sidekick, and lifelong best friend... Mykklyn.

I will forever remember the summers we had at the Beauty School and "Anty's house"....life was so carefree. The biggest of my worries back in the days was being forced to try a back-handspring on her trampoline before I was allowed to eat lunch. Yes I landed on my neck. *Side-note*...LUNCH WAS A HUGE DEAL TO ME...I was a porker back in the day. Lets get real, lunch is still the highlight of my day I just gained a few inches to distribute that baby chub out evenly. THANK HEAVENS.

Mykkie and I had a strange obsession with dolls, just like every other little girl. Our obsession was slightly different though...we played with them until we were nearly 15 years old. Each Christmas we would hope we were going to be getting a new doll to add to our families. My pretend husbands name was Nick, hers was...Ron. HAHAHA! Where we came up with these names I will never know. We were convinced that we were going to really marry a Nick & Ron when we "grew up." Well, she is happily married to a Spencer. I might marry a boy named Nick, who knows! I remember my first doll...the big grin and blonde hair lead me to the unique idea to name her Sunny(so original right?) Mykkie's doll had big brown eyes, and brown hair...if I am remembering right she named hers Devry. She always dressed her doll very cute, I tried.

We did everything with these dolls, took them swimming and had to have Uncle Rick detach Devry's head, drain it...and zip tie it back on. We buckled them up in the seat belts everywhere we went. Poor Sunny had skin tight pig-tails in nearly every day..resulting in some serious balding along her forehead. I remember taking our dolls to the beauty school and having the cosmetology students ask what their names were, we felt so important. The best part about raising our dolls....was taking a trip to the grocery store. We would BOOK IT to the baby isle. We would buy them pacifiers, diapers, bottles...and teething toys. It didn't matter their mouths were never going to move..they were never going to have accidents..and they never grew a set of teeth. WE HAD THE BEST IMAGINATIONS!  Our collection of dolls grew each year...here is a photo of what half of Stevee & my collection looks like...
Sunny is not in the photo, she is being put to good use being Randee Worster Photography's prop model. Sunny tests out the postitions before the new mothers put their REAL babies in the same position. I sound really weird right now I know that. After looking at this photo, I just thought I should mention...the naked bottom right doll was my Dakota...not sure if it was a girl or boy, it depended on the day. This floods in the memories of those summers at Myk's house!

Okay, I promise there is a purpose to this strange blog post. Mykkie and Spencer have been married 2 months and are EXPECTING A LITTLE BABY!
SHE IS PREGNANT! :)
For some reason I am having a hard time wrapping my head around it...it is normal for girls I graduated with to be pregnant..it is normal for Mykkies older sister to have a baby girl..but MY BEST COUSIN, BEST FRIEND, AND CHILDHOOD-ATTACHED AT THE HIP TWIN is now expecting...just puts life into a whole new perspective! I am so happy for her, and with all the practice we had with those dolls...she is going to be a DANG GOOD mommy!
I LOVE YOU MYK! I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU AND SPENCER. CAN'T WAIT TO MEET THIS NEW ADDITION...it is probably a girl ;)

Wait. We're in June?

Last June... I was working 9-5 shifts at Layton Sonic!
This June...I am in school, and working at Al's!
Last June I was waiting to hear back from USU. This June..I am applying for U of U.
Last June I lived in Layton with my family... and I had no hair.
This June I live in Logan with my roommate Elise!..and my hair has grown...
Last June our family only had these two babies...
This June we have a new member to the family..
Last June I was able to go to the temple, sleepover, and do weird things with Miss...
This June we write letters and email...
Life is so unreal. It changes so quickly and sometimes I don't even acknowledge how much has changed and is in the process of changing. The few things that will always be consistent would be first the Gospel, second my family, and third getting my education and having new experiences. LIFE IS SO GOOD! :)

Little bit of bitter, a lot of sweet.

bittersweet |ˈbitərˌswēt|adjective(of food, drink, or flavor) sweet with a bitter aftertaste.• arousing pleasure tinged with sadness or pain : the room, with all itsbittersweet memories.
1. WHERE IN THE WORLD HAS THE PAST TWO YEARS GONE?
I am still 19, along with half of the graduating class today hahaha. My parents started me in school early, I was the VERY youngest of my graduating class. I am done with two years of my college education. It feels great!
2. DO I MISS HIGH SCHOOL?
I only miss parts of high school. First being the athletics, second being the social life. I miss hanging out in the coaches office during my english classes. I miss getting all dolled up for dances. I miss seeing certain faces every day. I miss how easy it was to engage with different people everyday. Oh, I almost forgot. I miss the comfortable, ghetto atmosphere Layton High had. I miss being taller than all the bathroom stalls, and I miss the ongoing construction.
3. WAIT MY SISTER IS A JUNIOR?
Okay, this is the craziest part of it all. My sister has all the same teachers I had, but different favorites. It is so interesting to me how she and I can be SO ALIKE, but yet...completely different in some aspects. The teachers I love, she could care less about. My junior year was bittersweet in and of itself. Struggled with the grades a little bit, didn't get as much playing time as I deserved, and friendships kind of disappeared due to having a boyfriend haha! Senior year turned around in a lot of ways, started in both sports, built a solid friendship which turned into my freshman year college roommate, and grew up a little bit! I hope to be home for the second half of Stevee's junior year, I can't wait to see what next year has in store for her and I!
4. IS COLLEGE REALLY THE TIME OF MY LIFE?
I have learned that college is 100% what you  make it. The work isn't as hard and scary as I was expecting, opportunities really are everywhere. Freshman year at UVU living with Sam & Miss honestly was a blast. I didn't enjoy the schooling, but I LOVED EVERY SECOND I had with them. Utah State is amazing, I love the education I have received is amazing and I have stepped out of my comfort zone up here. A LOT. The desire to go out and hang out with new people every night is not in my mindset. I have more fun going home from work and school and hanging out with my roommates. Maybe I am growing up? Or maybe I am just too lazy to put myself out there night after night haha! It is fun to look at the class I graduated with and see where people are these days. I can only imagine how great it will be twenty years from now.

Sam's last name is Wright, mine is Worster...I don't know how I got so lucky...but we sat RIGHT BY EACH OTHER during graduation!
Couldn't have done it without these guys.. I am beyond blessed.
LOOK! Its Missy. She probably said some obnoxious remark...hence her smirk.
This little one was right by my side helping me get ready every dance. She has already been to a couple dances. Little Stevee is growing up!!

CONGRATULATIONS GRADUATING CLASS OF 2013. YOU WERE LITTLE SOPHOMORES WHEN I GRADUATED! :)
